The plaintiff, Rudolph Kreyer, owned a farm in Pepin county which his son and family (the Werner Kreyers) occupied and worked. On May 13, 1960, there was a fire that started in the main barn. As a result the main barn, the sheep barn, and the granary, together with certain livestock and equipment, burned; the farm house was not affected. The plaintiff brought an action against Farmers Co-operative Lumber Co., claiming that faulty electrical work done by the companys workmen on the day of the fire caused the fire. There was a trial to a Judge and jury.
